All About Our 2024 Flower Subscriptions

What is a Flower Subscription?

A Barn Blooms Flower Subscription is a pre-payment for seasonal, locally grown flowers during the upcoming growing season. This ensures the best of the best flowers each week, no rushing to the flower stand on the weekends, and a few added perks!

What is new for 2024?

2024 will be my fourth season doing subscriptions, and each year, they get tweaked a little bit as my business grows and changes, and I get feedback from my customers. This year, we will have an early and late spring option to really capture the best part of our flower season. We shortened our summer season, as we always combat weather issues and do not have a full supply of flowers until mid-July. Our summer subscription will now only be 4 weeks long instead of 8. We will also be shrinking our delivery area to 25 miles from the far. Last year I spent too many hours delivering and not enough hours farming. We appreciate ALL of our customers, but unfortunately, delivery an hour plus away will no longer be possible.

How do I get the flowers?

Your flowers will delivered right to your door. Delivery charges are added on at checkout. Delivery is within 25 miles of the farm. This is smaller than in years passed, but the increased demand for our flowers has changed how far we can drive each week for deliveries. We will also not be allowing on-farm pick-up this year. Unfortunately, almost every week, subscribers forget flowers on the flower stand.

What is the size of the flower arrangements?

Our flower subscriptions are arranged in glass mason jars with water. You can expect anywhere from 15-20 stems. This ensures that the flowers have a hydration source if left outside your home. We do our best to place your flowers in a shady, wind-free area. You can place your past week's jars on your porch to be picked up and re-used; we really appreciate it!

What type of flowers will be included?

This is where things get fun! You will see new flowers, colors, and textures in your bouquets each week. We use what is blooming on the farm that week, and our special, limited-quantity blooms go into our subscription bouquets first. You can choose what season you would like for your subscription (spring, summer, fall) or purchase a full-season subscription and get the best of all three!

Early Spring: Tulips, Narcissus, Allium, Anemones, Ranunculus, Dianthus, Cornflower

Late Spring: Peonies! Peonies! and more Peonies! Added bits of spring flowers will be added when they are available.

Summer: Bells of Ireland, Alliums, Lilies, Snapdragons, Feverfew, Yarrow, Dianthus, Dill, Poppy Pods, Phlox, Bupleurum, Marigolds, Statice, Sunflowers, Zinnias, Dahlias, Celosia

Fall: Dill, Marigolds, Statice, Sunflowers, Zinnias, Dahlias, Eucalyptus, Celosia, Lisianthus

How often do the flowers get delivered?

For the 2024 season, we have a few different delivery intervals. You can select weekly or bi-weekly delivery.

What if I am on vacation during a delivery week?

Summer is a busy vacation time. I totally understand. If you let me know 2 weeks in advance, we can arrange to reschedule the delivery during the next subscription session. For example, you have a spring flower subscription but will not be here the last week of the delivery. We will move that delivery to the first week of the summer session.

Can I gift a flower subscription?

Yes! Flower subscriptions make excellent gifts. 90% of the subscriptions I sell are gifts. They are a gift that gives all season long, giving your recipient something to look forward to during the growing season. You will be prompted to fill in the gift recipient’s information when checking out. This is very important information, as I use it to send email reminders and as a delivery address. After you check out, a gift certificate will be emailed to you (email used at cart screen, not in the form on the product page), so you give your gift recipient with all their subscription information included.

What are the VIP perks?

We love our subscription members, and want to make sure they get the special treatment! You will get early access and 10% off future subscription purchases. Subscriptions will release early November for current subscribers, so holiday shopping is a breeze.
